Getting Baptised at St Chad's
Infant baptism is a way of thanking God for His gift of life, deciding to start your child on the journey of faith and asking for the Church's support. St Chad's welcomes everyone who is interested in having their child baptised.
Infant baptisms normally take place in our 10.45 am service. Baptism families are invited to join us at any of our services so that you can get to know us and we you. We also meet with you separately to discuss what the baptism vows mean, the service and any practical needs. You will also be invited to join us for one of our family Sunday lunches.
We also hold services of Thanksgiving for those who prefer not to have their baby or child baptised as an infant, but who want to thank God publicly for their child and ask His blessing on them and the family.
