Richard Pennystan - Vicar
Richard has led St Chads since 2011. His passions are for prayer, healthy relationships, Bible teaching, unity and helping every follower of Jesus grow as a disciple. Richard is married to Nells and they have 4 teenage sons and two golden retrievers. He holds various leadership roles in the NewWine network and blogs occasionally.
Outside of church, his loves are family, cricket, and cooking.

Katie Wade - Associate Vicar
Katie joined the staff team in April 2024 as Associate Vicar and Leader of the Ministry of the LifeCentre. Katie is passionate about seeing God's people encouraged in their walk with him and helping them to find the treasure within.
Katie is married to Mike and together they have two grown up sons and twin grandchildren.

Dave Hill - Curate
Dave joined as curate in 2024. He wants to see people become who God created them to be. He loves to teach and write about it, and also see people disciple one another in community and conversation. Dave is married to Rachel and they have two children. When not being a taxi for the kids, Dave enjoys walking, cricket, board games and reading.

Jane Higginbottom - Head of Operations
Jane takes care of all the operational matters at St Chad's. Whether managing the staff teams, looking into health and safety and safeguarding, managing our communications or helping to arrange events and meetings. Jane joined the team in September 2019. Married to Tom, and mum to Jack and Henry, Jane enjoys cooking, reading and having a coffee and chat with people.

Alys Bassett - Operations Assistant
Alys has been working alongside Jane in the Operations Team since September 2021. Her main responsibilities include overseeing the communications for St Chads ranging from digital & print media, managing our website & social media and looking after our Sunday volunteer rotas along with a myriad of other administration tasks! Alys is married to Adie and together they have 3 boys.

Ian Otto - Facilities Manager
Ian looks after our buildings and everything to go with them! He is recognisable around Romiley in his bright blue van, as he moves stuff and sets things up for St Chad's (and for many older people in our community!).

Zeke - Youth Ministry Assistant
Zeke has been at St Chad’s since September 2022. He has a passion for helping young people get to know Jesus. As well as overseeing Chads youth work, he helps out at various kids' groups throughout the week. He loves talking to people about Jesus over a cup of coffee or bite to eat.
Outside of church Zeke loves playing and watching sport of any variety, hiking, and good food.

As a mum of three, she understands the joys and challenges of family life. She’s passionate about building community, offering encouragement, and making sure everyone feels seen and supported.
